Professional Hypnotherapist Perth, Scotland

I established HypnoPerth in 2002, working from my practice here in Perth, Scotland. Professional memberships and GHR Registration involves subscribing to a strict code of ethics and practice which is a condition of membership. Membership also has as a requirement that each therapist undertake a minimum number of hours of continuous professional development each year. A further condition is that each Member must be insured for Public Liability and Professional Indemnity.

Hypnotherapy focus

I receive referrals from Perth Royal Infirmary and GPs - for example for stop smoking, dental problems, anxiety and pain control. I do voluntary work for Perth Association for Mental Health regularly. My main area of interest is in anxiety-related problems, panic and phobias - everything from work-related stress, through social anxiety to agoraphobia at the extreme. However my case-load comprises many different problems and performance-improving situations as you can see elsewhere on the site.

Training

I have developed a practitioner course in hypnotherapy with psychotherapy, which has been assessed and approved by the General Hypnotherapy Standards Council. Aspects of NLP and conversational hypnosis are covered along with the more traditional topics. >>>

Getting results for people is at the top of my priority list and this is backed by my training and experience in helping clients understand problems and focus on achieving what is most important to them.

Background

My commercial background was as a senior IT project and personnel manager for over 20 years working in Dundee and Perth until 2002. I am well aware of all aspects of professional working life and how these affect people - useful experience for keeping things real and effective for my clients. Qualifications from IT - Dip. App Maths (Distinction), Member of the British Computer Society (MBCS), Chartered Information Technology Practiitioner (CITP). My IT interest continues with website design, development and optimisation.
